Automatic Surface Winder with Automatic Transfer and Inline Slitting.

Automatic Surface Winders: Uninterrupted Efficiency and Precision
At U.S. Webcon, we understand the importance of seamless winding processes for nonwoven, textile, and paper web products. That is why our automatic surface winders are designed to provide uninterrupted winding so they eliminate the need for operator intervention. With optional inline slitting for added versatility, our equipment is the perfect solution for your production needs.
LDW Model: Large Diameter Automatic Surface Winding
Our linear displacement winder Model LDW automatic surface winder takes surface winding to the next level. Designed for high-loft nonwovens, other nonwovens, and fabrics. So this model allows for the winding of large-diameter rolls while maintaining center support. Take complete control of package density with variable pressure at the winding bedroll nip point, ensuring optimal winding results.
Inline Shear Cut Slitting Module: Versatile Slitting Options
Enhance the capabilities of your automatic surface winder with our inline shear and score cut slitting modules with multi knife shear-cut knives, rack and pinion positioning, and two bowed rolls, this module allows for precise and efficient slitting. The first bowed roll smooths the web, while the second bowed roll separates the individual slit webs for easy handling.
Customizable Options for Your Unique Requirements
We provide tailor-made solutions for our customers. Choose between shear or score cut slitting and you can opt for single or dual bowed roll slit separation for more slits or narrower slits, and enjoy the benefits of driven bowed rolls for low-tension webs. Additional options include pneumatic female knife shafts, integral pull rolls, and turret unwind stands for continuous unwinding.
Experience unmatched efficiency, precision, and versatility with U.S. Webcon’s automatic surface winders. Trust our industry-leading technology and comprehensive product range to streamline your winding processes and elevate your production operations to new heights. What is Web Accummulation?
Web festoon accumulation refers to the temporary storage of a continuous material (such as paper, film, foil, fabric, or metal) in a processing line to allow for uninterrupted operation of upstream and downstream equipment. It is commonly used in web processing industries to manage speed variations, facilitate roll changes, and maintain tension control.
What types of Web Accumulators are there?
- Vertical Accumulators – Use a series of rollers that move up and down to store material.
- Horizontal Accumulators – Store material in a horizontal path, often using a festoon system.
- Double or Tripple Pass Accumulator – temporarily stores material by passing it through multiple times, using less floor space by sing a festoon system.
What is the difference between a Four Post and Open Frame designs?
A four post Web Festoon Accumulator is machine designed to be larger and carry more accumulated web with mechanical counter balancing to reduce carriage weight. An open frame unit is a lighter unit designed to carry a maximum of 80 to 100 feet of accumulation.
What is a low tensionWeb Festoon Accumulator?
A Low Tension Web Festoon Accumulator is a motor driven dual carriage unit. The two carriages are mechanically tied together so that lower carriages weight hangs on and counter balances the weight of the upper carriage so that its weight zeroed out. The actuation is driven by a motor and uses load cells or a dancer to control tension within the unit.
